Use Alternative Energy Sources For Energy Saving

The old technologies use fossil fuels to generate energy. As the same technology was in use for several years, the fossil fuels have depleted. Coal formation requires several thousands of years and it can’t be manufactured artificially. Using non-renewable sources for energy production must be minimized and everyone should look for alternative energy sources.
The refrigerators, air conditioning systems and other electrical appliances that we normally use contribute to global warming. When the temperature of the Earth keeps on increasing at a rapid rate, it will result in disastrous climate changes and many of the islands will be drowned. By using intelligent energy saving techniques, you can not only save energy but also reduce global warming …

Close relationship between past warming and sea-level rise

In a paper in Nature Geoscience, a team from the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton (NOCS), along with colleagues from Tübingen (Germany) and Bristol presents a novel continuous reconstruction of sea level fluctuations over the last 520 thousand years.
Comparison of this record with data on global climate and carbon dioxide (CO2) levels from Antarctic ice cores suggests that even stabilisation at today’s CO2 levels may commit us to sea-level rise over the next couple of millennia, to a level much higher than long-term projections from the Fourth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
Little is known about the total amount of possible sea-level rise in equilibrium with a given amount of global warming. …

Green Week 2009

Green Week 2009 is nearing and will be held at the Charlemagne building in Brussels, Belgium and this is a yearly conference. This conference will focus on a new United Nations agreement that will replace the Kyoto Protocols that are currently in place. The discussion about the Kyoto Protocol will conclude at Copenhagen in December at their climate conference. This conference will take a look at what the world and what would be needed to be done to bring climate change under control from different sections such as the greenhouse gas emissions and how to cut them down as much as possible.
It will also look at the need to climate proof the economy of the …
